The Spirit Hunt had officially begun! To start hunting click the new Spirit Hunt link on the navigation bar.

In order to participate you need a Spirit Catcher. You have to pick up this year's in order to catch spirits.

Also, the Spirit Hunt works the best in Firefox 3, however, it will work in other browsers.

If you have no clue what I am talking about, then just go to the Spirit Hunt page and read up! ;D And sorry it took me so long to get it up...I had to finish writing my college essay. :o Anyway, enjoy!

Happy Ghostling Day everyone! In celebration of these spooky little critters, many new Ghostling themed items have been released! You can now buy Ghostling balloons, Ghostling cupcakes, Ghostling cakes, Ghostling popsicles, and Ghostling ice cream in the various food stores. Also, Ghiffi has drawn us some wonderful plushie versions of Zool, the Shake it UP! shopkeeper, and the devious Beadfruit Bandit. All of these items will be available all year round excluding the Ghostling Day 2008 Shirt, which will only be sold today and tomorrow.

Also, in celebration of this glorious day, Zool is giving out free Ghostling popsicles and icecream. Visit Shake it UP! in the park to get your free frozen treat!

Starbits Pets Calendar

There is now a Starbits Pets Blog! Many users were suggesting some sort of page that showed what the staff were working on, even when there was nothing news-worthy. So I decided to make a blog! In this blog the staff will post what they're working on and other cool stuff like doodles, and general musings about SBP. I will try to write about what I've worked on everyday so you all will know I'm not being lazy. XD Everyone can sign up and leave comments as well. It should be pretty nifty once it gets up and running a bit more. I'm looking forward to it.

Also, Lumos in all of her awesomeness has drawn us this Soulless Ziegen. I was planning on releasing it right away when the site opened, but then I remembered that only adult pets could become soulless...so I had to wait a month. Enjoy~!

And zetina has made up this nice little comic for everyone...and it is absolutely hilarious. It is about all of the new features and silly glitches that happened right after the extended downtime. I definitly suggest snagging a copy or trading with a friend, because this is a must read. ;D And keep those submissions coming! We've been getting a lot of great Writing Contest submissions, but not enough Calender Contest ones. Everyone should feel free to enter: staffies, users, young, and old alike. You can do anything for it...just as long as it fits the guidelines. (and the color guidelines are just guides, you don't have to follow them, the theme is more important) If you can't draw, then I would suggest starbits related photography, sculputre, or costumes. If somebody did one of those I think I would literally explode from happiness...so be creative.

And lastly, I changed the URL's for some of the outside SBP things. The old ones will still work, but these are just plain cool.

In honor of the recent Save the Koala holiday, Ghiffi and Lumos have drawn up some awesome items to raise awareness. They include: the Lala, Eucalyptus Cake, Koala Shirt, Eucalyptus Muffin, Eucalyptus Milkshake, and the Eucalyptus Bandana.

In Australia there are many factors that are affecting the koala population, such as deforestation, bush fires, and other things that are destroying their natural habitat. Fortunately, there are organizations out there that want to help this fluffy, eucalyptus-eating species, such as the Australian Koala Foundation. They help plant trees and raise awareness about this endangered animal.

Sorry for my lack of updates this week, I was quite ill. Nonetheless, I have been able to finish the Soul Sponge script! As you can see, there is now a rather...soulless...looking Mitsu thanks to Sweety!

I also added something to do with the Soul Sponge that hasn't been available for quite some time. I'll leave it up to you guys to figure it out. ;D Have fun~!
