So, I'm about to go on vacation for a week...I promise to have Lanternfly stuff done a couple days after I get back on August 2nd. XD;

But, just to keep you guys entertained, here is some trivia. I just started using a new statistics tracking system. It doesn't take any personal information...I can't tell who specifically is viewing the site from where, but I can tell how many people are viewing SBP from a certain area, and it's pretty cool. Is your country/state on the list?

Anyway, just to say this again. I cannot track people personally...just how many people have visited from one place, so your personal information is safe. :> Also, the Oekaki Contest judging is moving back a day because of my vacation.

We are currently in the process of making the forums more awesome! We are doing this in several stages. Here are today's updates:

- URL's automatically become links
- Edit Topic Titles
- Subject links now go to correct page
- Streamlined Scripts (makes things a bit faster)

Also a side update...if you mess up your pet's profile you can now easily reset it without having to ask me to clear it. :>

More forum updates as well as the Lanternfly Festival prizes coming very soon.

Edit: I just fixed the problem with House Additions..you can now expand your house no problem.

Here are just a few little things I've been working on while I've been trying to get back up to speed. The Nanawy themed Oekaki Contest has officially ended! Thanks to all who participated! It was really hard to choose (as usual) the winners, but Telephone's interesting background and mood and Ghiffi's wonderful shading won out. Prizes are being given out as we speak. :>

This next contest's theme is...Addison the Art Collector! 8D You all will have fun with that. The contest will end on August 1st. Have fun drawing!

Sorry for my current lack of activity. Some personal stuff is going on that is affecting my ability to work on Starbits. I just need to take a couple of days to re-group. After that I'll give out the Lanternfly Festival prizes, and there should be new updates as well. Sorry about that guys, just wanted to let you know that I definitely haven't forgotten about SBP!

Congratulations DarkAngelX16 and kuitsumi for winning the Zool & Madaline themed Oekaki Contest! I bumped up kuitsumi's picture to the advanced category because of the great line quality and shading...it was a tough battle in the advanced category, but in the end her picture was irresistible. (I did really like the squishiness of London's Zool though, as well as the detail in Eulogy's picture). And DarkAngelX16 has won twice in a row! Her comic-style picture really caught my attention. Thanks to all who participated, prizes are being given out as we speak. :>

This next contest's theme is the Nanawy, a somewhat unknown minibit from the Carrott Bay region. I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with! The contest ends on the 15th of July, so start drawing!

Part one of the Lanternfly contest has ended! Now you must put those energies you collected over the week into a lantern and hang it in the forest. Depending on the color of your lanternand amount of energies inside you will get different prizes each day until the Lanternfly season is over. Make sure to check back every day to see what they left for you!

Also, don't forget that the Oekaki Contest ends tomorrow, so if you want to pull an all-nighter and do a super awesome last-minute submission, now is your chance! :> Enjoy the festival, and look forward to the Oekaki Contest tomorrow!

I have to extend the Lanternfly Festival again, this time to next Wednesday. XD;
My internet connection has been really shaky the past couple of days, preventing me from being able to add games/work on it very well. I'm also going on a mini-vacation Friday and Saturday. Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to get everything that needs to be done, done despite the weird internet that seems to short out every 5 minutes or so. Sooo, look forward to Wednesday then! It should be pretty awesome. :>

There is another new Lanternfly Festival game called hit the dot! You can play it at the games tent in the Festival Grounds. See how many times you can click that dot in 30 seconds...it is harder than you think.

Also, for those of you who play SBP on mobile phones that lack flash capabilities the links to the different areas can be seen below where the flash map should be. So hopefully now you can enjoy the festival on the go. Stay tuned for more Lanternfly games and events!

The Lanternfly Festival has officially started! You can visit the festival by going to the Festival Grounds under Travel.

This holiday is centered around collecting "Energies" and giving them to the Lanternflies. At the end of the festival you will buy a lantern and put the energies into it as an offering and, as the legend says, your wishes will come true. There are games you can play to earn energies and you will be able to buy various items to decorate your lantern with.

Because this turned into a much bigger deal than I expected I'm going to extend this holiday to a week long deal ending next Friday. :> New events and games will be added to the Festival everyday so make sure the check back often! Enjoy the Lanternflies!
