Like the title says, being able to barter in shops for items, like in Neopets. I think it’s a little bit more fun being able to do this, getting things for cheap and arguing with NPCs. C:
Just an idea.

As long as there’s a “just buy it for what it is” button ‘cos I often don’t care if I pay 10 or a 100 points less xD

Also! Maybe there could be some daily problems occurring, like “There was not as much rain this season/day” and in turn, some of the fruits could have super low stock. :c Something like Recettear, where some days the price for armor would go really high up, and books would be really cheap, etc.

n-not that you guys buy barely any food anyways
i bet you all fed your pets zikkles all day long
i did ;_;

fff xD

I think bartering would be cool as an option, with the ability to just buy things at marked price if you really didn’t care, mostly because bartering seems like a thing that would happen logically.
That and changes in item prices. I think that would be very interesting but hopefully not make it too hard for people who are just starting out and don’t have foods stored up when the prices shoot up. I’m not familiar with Recettear, do things work out well there with it? :0

In order to barter, maybe we could have a conversation with the NPCs? Like they say something, and we have a range of 3-4 possible replies and if we choose the correct one we get a discount and if we offend them they make us pay more. XD
And of course there should be the “buy at market value” to people who don’t care.

For the questions, we’d just end up learning the right pattern/make a guide for other players so it’ll lose all meaning in the end =u=
But I like the changing prices idea and stuff.

Oh god, last post was 23 days ago.

@zetina: Yeah, that was the only thing that was kinda off to me for this. =v= But I was thinking, maybe percentages of whether or not the NPC will agree to sell it to you for.
Ex. Normal price – 300bits
Barter – 250bits (20% chance of agreeing)
Or something. :v

@darkangelx16: Haha, I think that sounds kinda neet.
Yeah, of course. :v

@kip: Maybe there could be a set supply that wouldn’t have the prices shoot up? >v> The most basic ones, like normal blue zikkles etc.
Yeah! It’s basically where you own a shop, and people barter with you to buy things and you do the same to them. Pretty fun, but a little bit difficult at first. :v

I think that changing food prices depending on droguths or shortages would be a pretty cool idea, like when the seasons come into play, or like there would be squashes and pumpkins during harvest times like in the Holiday shop.

Although my main problem is that I’m a lazy bum and take ages to save money up. But that would just be my problem.

I always found it annoying if I couldn’t just buy the items at their set value, so if a feature like this is introduced, this option should still be kept in my opinion.

Aside from that, I’d never use that anyway because it simply takes too much time. It’s just no fun to me.

But I like the idea that prices and supply of the goods sold change. I don’t think it should be a daily thing, but rather changing with season or maybe monthly. I think there’s a lot of potential in this idea to make the world come to life more. I can imagine one food item being out of stock for a week because the delivery van of the company broke or a book going out of print for a while. Such little inconsistencies would add a lot of liveliness to the world of Bita in my opinion.

It would also give life to restocking. You know what I mean, right? Buying stuff that stocks rarely and sell it for more in your own shop >:} Never done it before but…
